Overview

One of Kenya’s classic budget adventure, exploring three top destinations. Mara is known for almost guaranteed sightings of the Big 5: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. It is also popular for the annual migration of zebra and wildebeest which occurs from July to October. Lake Nakuru is home to a huge population of pink flamingos and 400 species of birds; while Amboseli is known for the large herds of elephants and most especially with its stunning view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Day 1 Nairobi- Masai Mara

After breakfast on the first day of the 1 week safari Kenya, we pick you and drive to Masai Mara with stopover at the Great Rift Valley. We continue driving on through Longonot and Suswa and on to the Western walls with another stopover at Narok for fuelling. We have lunch before arriving in the Mara in time for evening game drive in the Mara popular for the Big five (Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffalo and Rhinos).The team returns to Camp late in the evening just in time for dinner.

Day 2 Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara Game Reserve

A full day is spent at the Masai Mara game reserve. We drive across the plains in search of the big cats (black manned lions, Cheetahs and leopards with picnic lunch served at the Mara River site. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander across the Mara grasslands in huge numbers during this period of the annual migrations take place, when millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle traverse the Mara plains landscape to feed on the rich new grass from the Serengeti. You also have a chance to see other plain game like the Topi, hartebeest and Eland.

Day 3 Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Have a pre-breakfast game drive in search of nocturnal animals before driving back to the Camp for breakfast. Spend the rest of the day in leisure followed in the afternoon by an optional nature walk or a visit to the Maasai Village (At extra cost of USD 20).

Day 4 Masai Mara Game Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park

On the fourth day of the 1 week safari Kenya. Start the trip from Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park. In this park you will proceed for an extensive game viewing in search of cats in the among the ‘Yellow fever’ acacia trees which are leopards favorite and also we will be in search of Rhino. Nakuru is the home to the White rhinos and has tens of Black rhinos too.
Lake Nakuru National park is known for its millions of flamingos and other water birds like the Pelicans and Cormorants. No wonder Americas finest photographer – Roger Tory Petersen described it as the best photographic Paradise in the World for its seasonally large concentrations of greater and lesser flamingos, Lake Nakuru boasts some 600-bird species. It is also a designated rhino sanctuary, as well as home to other rare wildlife species.

Day 5 Lake Nakuru National Park - Amboseli National Park

Have an early morning breakfast before leaving Lake Nakuru National Park for Amboseli, passing through Nairobi with lunch on the way. Arrive in Amboseli in the evening and on a good day you will see Africa’s highest mountain Kilimanjaro.

Day 6 Full Day Game Drives in Amboseli National Park

Morning and afternoon game drives over the park’s dusty roads (Giving the true meaning in Maasai language Amboseli meaning dusty whirl winds), you’re likely to spot wildebeest, giraffes, Gazelles, Impala and zebra attracted to the marshes and swamps fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. You may also spot lions on the fringes of the marshes as well as a great variety of bird-life (some 425 species of bird populate the park). With Kilimanjaro providing a dramatic backdrop, your photographs will be stunning with Elephants, which makes Amboseli popular as there in hundreds.

Day 6 Amboseli National Park - Nairobi

You will have early morning game drives on the last day of the 1 week safari Kenya. It will be your last game drive at Amboseli before coming back for breakfast and packing for Nairobi and where the Safari ends.
